Following her rape and subsequent relapse, Cherry drops out of college and moves back to the South. She navigates her familial relationships, the hardcore music scene, and the never-ending chaos of her life. Although she came home to “get better,” she has no plans to, and actively seeks further destruction by any means necessary. Bleedout is a story about the troubled teen industry, the ethics of care, the dynamics of family, set against the experimental music scene and centering extremism as consistent clashes occur.
